A leveling kit is all you need to allow for 33's if you want good clearance.

No lift is really needed but some rub a tad bit

Default Went with lift

I ended up going with a 2.5" Rough Country lift just bc I didn't like the look of my tires being cramped in there. I also had the leveling kit before that. No before pics to post, just an after

Did you leave your leveling kit on/in when you added your 2.5 lift?

Yeah it's still on there as far as I know. I didn't do it myself. Had to get it done by the place I bought the lift from because I don't have the free time or equipment to do it myself. One of the many joys of full time grad school and work....

Gotcha. Thanks. My jk is starting to dip in the front. I just ordered a 2.5 BB w/shocks; I'm wondering if I'll still have that dip in the front when it's installed.

Well I am going with aftermarket wheels and possibly spacers. What did your RC consist of? I don't want any rubbing but I don't want my tires to look too small either. I'm not sure if leveling kit or lift would b better, I still want a little travel as well.

I put a RC 3.5" Series II kit on and I'm running 33's. I personally like the look of 33's with the lift plus I don't need to worry about re-gearing. My RC kit came with everything needed. Springs, shocks, lower control arms, bolts and brackets. I didn't use the brackets as I also installed an adj track bar at the same time.

The extra room also means I don't have to worry about rubbing the fenders at full flex either.

This is what the 33's looked like before the lift. I got a little rubbing on the driver side sway bar at full wheel lock.
