Off camber--which way do i streer?
Ok--which way do i steer if I'm off camber?? My passenger wheels are up high and I'm traveling downhill..do I turn unto the hill or agai st!?
When going up or down hill always try to go as straight as you can. Don't go sideways on a hill.
Was your sway bar/links disconnected?
If an obstacle pushed your passenger front tire up, it should come down as soon as you clear it. Then the rear will hit it.
I'd pick a line where your can stay as straight as possible.
Also don't wheel alone. Hook up with an experienced wheeler and learn from the lines they pick or have the spot for you.
In time you will learn your Jeep. But even then always good to wheel with someone.
To answer your question, turn in the direction that will point you straight up and down on the hill and bring your camber back to normal.

This is a little confusing due to the wording. Assuming that you're moving forward, turn the front-end downhill if you think you're going over. If you're real worried, step on the gas too. Watch a bunch of rollover videos on youtube until you understand this.

I'd also add that if you have to cross sideways across a hill avoid using lockers as in my experience they make you slip down the hill rather than being of any use (plus they'll hamper steering)
If you have a good spotter, turn in the direction he tells you to. As said, you do want to be as straight down hill as the trail allows because you have around 50 degrees of angle before you roll (depending on your rig set up) front and back but closer to 30 side to side. If turning driver or downhill is still an acceptable line then it will help your off camber but if it will get you stuck or dump you hard you could be in a worse situation. If the angle is getting bad and you have enough people, put a strap or rope around a roll bar and have them pull you more level. If they have the balls they can stand on your high side rails to keep you upright.
