Rock Krawler Question
I have a 12 Rubi I want to install a lift on. I'm 99% positive I want the Rock Krawler 2.5 max travel lift. My only hold up is that when I bought my Jeep I had the AEV Savegre rims installed which have a 4.7 inch backspacing.
I don't know if anyone has this exact set up but I would really like to figure out what size tires I can run with this. My concern is with the width of the tires. When I look at a lot of specs of 35 inch tires the width is measured on a 9.5 inch rim and these are 8.5 and that actually makes the tire wider by about .5". I was not aware of that until I had a long conversation on the phone with a tire tech from Firestone. So anyone out there with some info on this please help me out so I don't waste money on tires that don't fit.
Thanks

From my understanding, it is not so much the wheel width as the tire width. Unless you are going with a 15in.
Most people on here will advise to have ~4.5in or less for a 35x12.5 and ~4in. or less for a 35x13.5.

2.5 RK max with 35" nittos and savegre's. I will send more if you want better angles.
I have the 3.5 RK and 12.5" width kevlars. When they were mounted on stock rims with Spidertrax spacers (~5in BS at that point) I had rub on my LCAs with the wheel fully cranked. Once I got my Spyderlock wheels (3.5" BS) I no longer had any issues. So if you get some rub with the setup you're talking about, throw the spacers on and you'll definitely be set.
Thanks for the info guys. How wide are those Nittos? I looked on the web site and I see a couple that could be considered 35s and they have different specs. Could you tell me what the actual tire it is that you have? I really like those and I think I found my lift and my tire
