Default RK 2.5 max travel install questions

When installing the kit. Do you wait til its back on the ground with the tires on to tighten Everything? Or is there some things to go ahead and tighten down

Torque everything down with the tires and weight of the Jeep on the ground.

Firm it all up; you don't want it flopping around while you set it down. Torquing those LCA bolts is a huge pain.

I believe you are just supposed to make them finger tight they are not going anywhere. You don't want them at all tight when you set it down after you set it down shake it get in and out of it get it to settle as much as you can then tighten/torque the arms and (including the stock uppers that you should have loosened) and the trackbars. I then loosened and re torqued them a few weeks after I installed aft the suspension settled.

I have what might be a stupid question... why does it matter? Almost all the parts have to be able to move in order to flex, and have an inner sleeve so you can't crush it. Wouldn't it make sense that if it moves up and down as it flexes then if you torque it before it is on the ground the parts should be able to rotate in the joint?

The center sleeve does not spin. The bushing actually flexes when your jeep suspension moves it also absorbs small bumps. If you tighten them down with it in the air and not under it's own weight you will destroy your bushings in not very long.

Our arms should rotate freely. They offer free micro and macro motion. However, the factory arms with the vulcanized rubber will not. It is best to leave those bolts loose until it gets on the ground and then you torque everything in place.
