Default Opinions on picking up a set of 35"s

One of my buddies with a Jk has a set of 4 MTZs in 315/70r17 with about 50% tread left on them. He offered to sell them to me since he wants to get a set of 33s and said to give him an offer. I'm not really sure what would be a good price for these, what do you guys think?
...Also I'm currently on stock suspension w/ 3.21s (6spd). More so than the price, I'm really concerned with the power loss and rubbing.
Opinions please!

The fact that he wants 33's should tell you something.

$350 for the wheels and tires?? That seems kinda low, no?
The wheels are American Outlaw Patrols, I believe.

He wants 33's because he doesn't plan on doing any off-roading, just driving to and from work..

I couldn't tell you what the tires are worth, but if you are looking for an opinion of the change from stock to 35’s with 3:21’s, there would be some serious power loss. I have 3:73 with an auto and it definitely hurt my performance when I moved to 35’s. However, that being said, it is manageable until I get the coin together for a re-gear. For you, I don’t know if that is an option financially, but it is something you really should consider. Hope this helps you.
