Default 2010 unlimited sport with mods - value increased? or same?

Hi:
Not sure if this is the right forum so I apologize if not - anyway, I'm looking at a 2010 wrangler unlimited sport with 16k miles.
It has a teraflex suspension on it (not sure of what size lift/etc) - has procomp shocks, procomp helldago wheels, BFG tires, smittybuilt xrc front and rear bumpres with winch on front.
the dealer it is at wants 29k for it. I noticed book value is 26k.

Do the mods increase price ? I like it and am tempted to offer 26k but wanted to see general consensus on pricing. thanks

Dealers don't pay for any modification made when a person trades in a jeep for a new one so why should you i would offer them 26 and no more

I concur.. I'm sure someone would pay that but I say be smart about it. You don't want to get upside down in it. I know from being 7K upside down in my last vehicle.

This owner has a lot of money in the Jeep. The rear bumper if I'm not mistaken is a Smittybilt with the tire carrier and 2" hitch - $900 retail, and who knows what he's got on the front end... Wheels and tires were ~$2500. Lift was less than $2000. Even new sidesteps.

I would offer him $26k then go for at most $27,750. Definitely a great looking Jeep man.

My 2010 had only 7,000 miles on it and they asked for 25K. I'd not pay 29K for it, modded or not. Mine had NO mods.

My dealer says they would buy back my Jeep and give me the amount I've put into it on top of the Jeep value...but c'mon, I seriously doubt that.

I'd also not buy a Jeep and pay more for previous mods UNLESS they were the mods I wanted. I don't want someone's bad taste or cheap mods that I'll only have to spend more money on to upgrade/replace. But I'm the kind that saves and does their best to buy the best and be done with it, which could just be my opinion, lol.
