Default 2011 hardtop to 2007 jku

Ok.. I've read on this forum there is an adapter that will allow the 2011 hardtop to fit a 2007 jku. Does anyone have this information? I actually found a post on this forum with pics but they have been removed.

Any information would be greatly appreciated.

OK. so the answer is.. yes.

The 2011 hartop will fit all jku's without modification.

There is an adapter to buy, Mopar part # 82212462 that will allow the front pieces to "lock down" better. This needs to be used on models before 2010 the way I understand it.

What would be the benefit of using a 2011 hardtop versus a cheaper 2007 hardtop? Other than the better chance of finding one new, versus old and possibly "beat up". It would save you the money of buying the adapter, too..

Default Windows

Yes. The newer tops have a larger back window. Not sure about the side windows. I'm selling my 2011 jku hardtop to a kid with a 2007 jku. He has a soft top and wants the hard top for college due to security reasons. Also he hates the soft top noise.

I'll be replacing my hard top with the Bestop Trektop NX.
