Default Anti-theft idea - Posion Spyder 50" Rigid mount

I received my PSC 50" mount today and after looking at it and thinking of a way I could make it difficult for someone to steal my Rigid 50" I thought about this;
What if I were to drill a 1/8" hole on each side of the mounting tab as I drew in the pic below. Then on the inner side I could install a stainless washer over the protruding bolt on the Rigid lightbar which would then be pop riveted together with each of the holes on the mount.

Thought about this too... One of the main reason I have not pulled the trigger on this combo yet.

I would think they can just unscrew the lower part of the windshield frame. A would-be thief may also want that fancy bracket to hold them also. This involves less climbing also.

POS thieves have no issues using force or leaving scratches. In your described set-up it sounds to me that a long handled flathead screwdriver could be inserted under the washer to break the small soft-metal pop rivets, and then unscrew the bolt.

You could round the hexagon bolt heads and/or drill out the torx bolts, so only a grinder would take them off.

I'd say loc-tite and some sort of specialty hardware. Maybe the torx head with the pin in the middle.

That's a great link, thanks.

Sent my inquiry for 4 Ultra-Lok security bolts for the mount installation and for 2 nut locks either Pentagon or T-Groove for the Rigid Lightbar

Wire my block heater into the light bar, that will be more fun than the 12V
