Default Warrior Hi Lift Hood Mount: CONCERN???

Installed new mounts on hood with Hi Lift Xtreme jack. Drove with the jack on for about one week and noticed the hood was touching the fender on the passenger side from the weight of the jack.

Then noticed the hood had a crease on both sides just above the "I" in Rubicon.

Apparently the weight bent the hood hinges and damaged the hood. I was shocked!!!

Warrior says its not their fault and obviously it's not Jeep's fault. Has anyone else had this failure? I did a ton of research and the Warrior mounts seemed perfect but can't imagine why the hinges or hood failed.

For the record I didn't open the hood or go offroad. I did drive across Louisiana on IH-10 which is as rough as any trail.

MIne is not a Warrior Mount been on about 3 years. All I have done is to be careful when closing the hood no issues

I have had my Hi-Lift mounted on my hood for a while no issue.

Not using the Warrior mounts though. Mine are ACE

Not jumping to any conclusions here, but it there a chance that when the mount was tightened down it was torqued a little too much?

Just got an update from Warrior and they are assisting. Sounds like it was a one off situation with several thousand sold with no issues. Possibly due to poor quality hinges.

Definitely pleased with customer service from Warrior!!! Sounds like they have a solution for these issues.

Warrior told me they sold over 7,000 and we have the first problem. I'm confident in their product and extremely pleased with their customer service so I plan to keep the jack on the hood once I get new hinges.

They also mentioned a way to strengthen the hinges they are testing so stay tuned...
