Default Daystar 1-3/4" lift

Ready to order this lift with shocks. Looking for opinions and advise. 2010 unlimited. 285/70R17 Falken Rockey Mountains. 5.25 back spacing on MB wheels. DD, mild off roading. Is this the right lift for me? Thanks in advance.

Are you getting the lift because you want to or because you're getting larger tires and you're worried about rubbing?

Think it looks to low with the tires I just got.

Gotcha. When I lifted, I settled on a 2.5" OME coil/shock heavy duty (you wind up with 3"). I have a JKU so I didn't need to worry about driveshaft angle or anything. My thinking was eventually I'd go to a 35 or something, of course the eventually hasn't come yet... I like the 3" but I'd probably just do a 2" next time.

Did you get new shocks when you lifted yours?

Sorry, reread your reply and saw that you did get shocks. I'm thinking it is a good idea to get new shocks with a lift.

I have the 1.75 inch Daystar lift and 305/65-17's (33x12.50). I actually gained 2 inches of lift front and rear. My dealer installed it for me at the time of purchase. I'm very happy with it. Even though I didn't need the lift to clear 33's, I wanted a slightly more aggressive stance. I know 2 inches doesn't sound like much, but it's a huge difference when you park next to a stock JK.

Did the Daystar kit eliminate the factory rake?

No. I gained the same amount of lift, front and rear. My JKU was pretty close to level from the factory though.

I put the daystar lift on my 07 jku but on the rear I took out the stock isolators. So I got a 1 3/4 inches lift in the front and about 1 inch lift in the rear. I wanted my jeep to set level. I have 285/70/17 Goodyear mtr s
