Default New to Jeeps and need wheel size help!

My wife just got a 2012 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Sahara. The cherry red color.

She is wanting one of the following black wheels... XD Rockstars, XD Addicts, or XD hoss. In order to not have to buy new tires now we are going to with an 18" wheel. The stock tires are 255/70/18 will these fit right on a 9" rim? Also what would be the correct offset to get? I see different offsets on each wheel.

Size: 18x9
BP 5x5
offset????

I am leaning more towards the addicts or the hoss because the Rockstars are kind of played out. I like that the Hoss come in gloss black.

If you have any pictures of any of these wheels on a stockish jeep ( especially a cherry red unlimited) please post.

Thanks.

factory back spacing is 6.25" but, if you plan on running wider tires in the future, i would recommend 4.5" or there about.

What does that make the offset on a 9" wheel?

typically, you do not look at offset when you're looking at a wheel that has backspacing.

Hmmm... I looked at the back of my stock Moabs and it showed Offset of 44.45mm. Then considered backspacing of 6.25"...

Now I am looking at a wheel with 4.5" of back spacing and -12mm of offset. I believe this would put the wheel a bit further out in the well?

just a bit and, if you're running wider tires like a 12.50, this is needed in order to prevent any rubbing of the rear sway bar links or at a full turn.

Looks like she changed her mind completely. She is getting a set of 5- 18x9 Ballistic Jesters for 650 installed.

Will a 33" 12.5 R17 fit on a 17 x 9 with no lift? I'm sure it will fit but will i have rubbing issues? Thanks for the help.

Default Ballistic Jesters

She went with the 18x9 Black Ballistic Jesters. We did not install the grey side studs.
