Default Electric winch hard top lift

Just installed a Lange electric hard top winch. Went pretty smoothly, once I got the balance right. MUCH better than popping the top solo!Click image for larger version

Looks good! I may have to try to lift mine off tomorrow solo...not looking forward to it. This hoist might be the next purchase...

I would highly recommend getting someone to help. Preferably someone over 5ft 2. They aren't heavy, just kinda tough to make the push over the spare. The lift makes it MUCH easier to solo.

After actually doing it, I realized that the crank hoist would probably be ok, since I only plan to do this in the spring and fall. But having the winch up there brings up lots of other fun ideas about lifting things just for fun.

The price difference for the electric winch was only about $75, too.
