Default Atx slab with beadlock vs. normal 17" aluminum rim?

Any advantages or disadvantages? What's the weight difference?

beadlocks help keep the tire mounted to the wheel when you air down for offroading. very much advantageous.

and the weight difference completely depends on what 17'' aluminum rim you are talking about.

^^^^^ what he said. A beadlock wheel basically clamps to the bead of your tire and holds it- allowing you to safely air down to much lower psi's than normal wheels.

you will probably bend your Cs before you bend your axle. if you go anything over factory sized tires it seems the general and popular idea is to gusset your Cs. what size tires are you running / looking at? overall weight between tires and wheels is what you need to be concerned with.

I have the evo gussets with sleeves and chromoly axle shafts, I'm running 37" km2's with 17" eagle alloy rims but I'd like to run the tax slabs but I'm worried about weight

if you are on 37s i cant imagine that a few more pounds on the wheels are gonna make that much difference. you will def pick up some weight, but there wont be a soul on here that can definitively say you will or wont mess up your drive shaft by getting beadlocks.
