Try using a screwdriver or prybar to keep downward pressure on the bolt head as you tighten it. I had the same problem with a couple of mine. A little pressure should get the nut to catch and it will tighten. The bolts/nuts are designed so they won't completely back off and fall out if they come loose - I forget the technical name for it.

Glad to pass on the tip. Honestly, when mine started spinning without tightening, I thought I had broken something, screwed myself and would be heading to the dealership for a fix that probably would cost me. Luckily, I found a write-up on a body lift that mentioned how these bolts work and that they need the pressure to catch. That's why I love this forum!
