Default Pro Comp M/T VS KM2 VS Dick Cepek FCII

Hey guys, another tire debate thread

I'm presently running 33" KM2's but looking to move up to 35's.

I'm trying to buy local and these three tires in question are all within $10 per tire. But Pro Comp has a nice rebate running right now

MY JK is a daily driver, we have long winters here and most roads are packed with snow for 4 months or so. The one issue I had with the KM2's was they were bad on ice and hard packed snow. But I also want a capable off road JK, the KM2's are awesome when playing in the mud.

The Dick Cepek FCII's look like a nice hybrid tire but hardly ever see anyone here running them, are they a bad tire?

Also don't hear much about Pro Comp tires on here either, like to hear some opinions before I make my purchase next week.

I have had most bfgoodrich tires on older jeeps and the km2 are great but like u said on ice they suck. The pro comp extreme all terrains look like they would be a good tire for what u need with a long ice winter. I know as I used to live in the Peg

I had orginally inquired about the xtreme a/t but they discontinued the 35x12.50x15.

Take a look at the Cooper STT's. I believe Cooper makes the Pro Comps anyways. I've got the STT's nd like them a lot.

Right. Cooper manufacturers the Mickey Thompson, Pro Comp and Dick Cepek tires. All of those are excellent tires.

I had the Cepek FC IIs on my 4Runner. They are a loud tire, I don't like them nearly as much as the Duratracs that I have now.

Default Duratracs

If you decide to go with Goodyear, definitely go with the Duratracs over the MT/R Kevlar's. The MT/R is a grat all around tire EXCEPT for ICE. The Duratracs are great in everything just not as good as the MT/R in mud.
