CoverKings Neoprene Seat Covers and Q-Tec Mats Opinion - Rustoleum Bed Liner, etc...
CoverKings Seat Covers - Quadratec has a deal going currently where you buy the fronts for $169.99 and you get the rear seat free - and oh by the way, free shipping for mentioning you're a JK-F member - first thoughts...they're awesome. I bought them in dove grey. They fit like a glove, and they look AWESOME against the steel blue. Not really too difficult an install. I did order a bottle of the UV spray, and I didn't get it...but I'll work that with a simple phone call. No big. The covers look great...I'm happy with that. And that whole "swamp butt" thing I hear about? Drove around today in Florida - hot as balls - felt comfortable.

Quadratec mats - These I'm SLIGHTLY disappointed in. Don't get me wrong, they look great, and I'm keeping them - and the lifetime warranty and "Made in the USA" mantra makes them legit; however, they are MUCH lighter than I expected. I was actually surprised when I got the tracking info from Joe at Quadratec that the boxes were as light as they were...and now I see why. This was slightly frustrating when I was going 55 mph doorless today and looked back to see the rear mats floating at the same level as the rear seats. I thought about buying some magnetic paint from Wal-Mart and painting the bottoms of them...though I have NO idea if that would hold them down or not. Any other ideas/thoughts? I'm open for any. Ah, my other kicker - I bedlined the Jeep, which I'll get into in a second, which is part of my frustration with the mats. They're built for carpet. Of which I have tossed. They look good, but they were obviously not designed for a bare tub. Nothing wrong with that at all, just brought up my idea of using magnetic paint.
PICTURES ADDED ON NEXT POST!!!
As for the bedlining job, I used Rustoleum Truck Bed Coating with the roll on and brush method. There's no texture - the spray, there is texture, but I used that for other things I'll get into. As for the roll on, it seems like good stuff. I could care less about it fading...I like grey anyways. The real question is whether or not it'll hold up and protect the tub. I'll keep you guys posted, but for $48/gallon, and a few bucks per spray can for touch up, I'm happy. I did NOT remove the seats...I'm lazy, and guess what, spray cans can spray around those bolts with good prep.
Here come the questions: I wanted to do the whole dash upgrade folks do. I have a Sahara, so those trim pieces around the steering wheel and air vents, I wanted to make them mine. I started with some Krylon Orange - wanted the trim to pop - HATED it! Not nearly as bright as it should have been...looked like TU's (burnt orange, I'm an Aggie fan) colors - not happening...not to mention that even WITH tons of prep work, the paint ran. Sucked. I did bedline the entire center console...looks great.
So anyways, the question, I used Rustoleum's Self Etching Primer on the trim pieces - the color is SICK! It's exactly what I was looking for...kind of the sage green color in the Air Force's new ABUs. Does ANYBODY know what color that is? I tried it against the hunter green in the camo they have...it was too green, and I feel like the grey won't have enough green. OR does anybody know if I can just leave the primer as paint and leave it as is. That's my current plan.
Enough with the rant, ask questions, I'll answer them until Monday...then my movers show and it's off to Abilene!
Peace dudes.

As far as your problem with the mats I have the someone. I was thinking about just running some parachute cord from the front seat mount to the back seat mount but I have had the rear one fly out.
Are your seat covers waterproof I saw some negative reviews saying that they soak up water. Do they?

I've thought of drilling a hole and attaching to jeep with 550 as well; however, that voids the lifetime warranty, but to be honest, tje warranty prettymuch voids any and all possibilities of refund anyways. But "Made in the USA," right?
As for water retention, haven't noticed a rain, but went sea kayaking this afternoon with no towel - jumped in five hours later for beer, and she's dry as a geriatric virgin.
Before my seat covers, she'd have still been wet (sts) - and that's with the Yes! fabric.

Really disappointed, they need to work on the fading issue.
If I did not take my top off they would be great covers.
There is a jeep with red seats around here and the top of the seat actually looks like the red and black faded into each other.
The other thing is that the seams are starting to stretch at that stiching so I do thing that they are going to start ripping soon.

I bought Coverking sest covers through Costco.com for my JKU. They do fade and soak up water like a damn sponge. They dont fit well either and look wonky. They forgot to put a slit for the middle shoulder seat belt. Luckily, I have a child carseat there.
My next seat covers will be neoprene and another brand!
