Can I use degreaser on my SOFT TOP?
I'm putting the soft top back on my 2dr in preparation for my camping excursion in a few weeks -- never know when a thunderstorm might roll in and downpour on me. Anyway, my soft top is a desert brown when it should be black. I know some scrubbing and potentially soft top cleaner will get the stuff off, but what about degreaser. Degreaser gets crap off from the components beneath my JK like magic. Will it do the same on the top? Or will it stain the top permanently?
Thanks!
Thanks!
Probably or will? Because I was thinking of water -- scrubbing -- soap -- scrubbing -- water -- scrubbing -- DEGREASER -- srubbing -- water -- scrubbing -- SOFT TOP CLEANER -- scrubbing -- dry it....
That's the process I was considering to get my soft top back in summer shape and black again.

My 2 cents
You better read the label first, some degreasers are harmless and are extremely powerfull and will cause damage. Best top cleaner n protectant work amazing and also armorall cleaner n protectant. Beware of degreasers

I just want to say, thank you. I didn't use a powerwasher or 303, but I did use the Dawn dishsoap and that stuff is magic. It worked amazingly well to my surprise. Figure I hadn't washed my top in 10k to 20k miles. With the Arizona sun, mudd and crap gets caked on pretty well. But that Dawn dishsoap was amazing.
I just scrubbed with a bristle brush with water, first; then I scrubbed with the dishsoap; then I scrubbed once more with the water. Soft top is looking fresh.
Thanks!
