Default 3.6 Mileage vs 35s

So I got a new 2012 Rubi Unlim with the new 3.6L and I’m thinking about upgrading to 35s w/ new offset rims. I’m wondering on how much a change like this will affect my mileage especially with the 3.6L. Also, do I stay with 17” rims or go with a 15” rim

OBTW, I have the 5 speed auto w/ 3.73 gears.

I have same setup 2012 auto w/ 3.73s. I have stock rims w/ spacers and 35" mud grips. 3.5" ome lift and my mpgs only went down 1mpg average. I was averaging 18-18.5 overall after installing all that went to 17-17.2 over all. That's hand calculated.

about the same results for me-- P315-70-17s on offset rims-- lost about 1MPG after lift/wheels/tire install. I have 4.10's and an auto.

I have 2012 3.73 Auto.

315 75r16 (so more like 34s) but at the same time got the Rancho 4in Sport lift.

I lost 2mpg in city driving
I lost about .5 on hwy.

My normal tank is 65% hwy 34% City

Went from 18-19mpg to about 17-18. (hand calculated)

I have noticed that a strong head wind is even more of a killer than it was before. This week i did a 100 mile roundtrip hwy trip to see a customer. The way there was downwind, got 22 - on the way back against a pretty strong wing got 17 (via the computer).

Wind is definitely a killer for me too now that I'm off the ground.

Thanks guys, I looking at the 2.5 heavy lift from OME cause I have heavy bumpers. I get 18 mpg now but I'm disappointed that it does not get 20 like the sticker claimed on the highway.

I'm getting 17mpg at best with my stock 2012 2-door Rubi w/ auto and I'm very light footed. There was an argument over in the JK talk section about the 4.10 are actually too much for the stock 32's. Some people were reporting 19-20 with 33's and no difference in power??

2012 JKU Sport
3.6 with 3.21...3.5" lift with 35" MTRs

Per the dash, I average a consistent 14.1-14.3
Mostly city, occasional highway.

Stats are in signature. Hand calculated I get around 14.5mpg mixed driving. I don't see how guys are getting 17+mpg. Only got about 15-16 stock and that's being as light on the throttle as possible.
