Default Front license plate mounting on stock bumper

I just got my plates today, 3 weeks later and I had to call the dealer to see if they were in. The registration was dated 15 days ago and the inspection paper says I have 14 days to get it inspected, which is overdue. Uhg. Anyway... thats a different topic.
So I saw that there is license plate screws in the glove box, but am I supposed to get a front license plate bracket from the dealer to mount the front plate or just screw it into the bumper where I think it looks nice? They didn't give me anything except 2 plates in a bag.

I went to a parts store and bought 2 inserts for the bumper; the kind that spread out inside the bumper when the screw is screwed into them. It provides a secure mount for the plate.
There is no bracket, just the inserts.

Gotcha. I don't have a problem screwing it directly to the bumper, just curious if I was supposed to get something.
