Default How to check ball joints, axelc c's, and sleeves?

I want to check over my front end but am unsure what to look for. It looks like to check the ball joints and bearings i need to jack up the axle and lift on the wheel to see if there is play. How can i tell if the axle is bent? Put a level on it on level ground? Also what should i look for when inspecting the sleeves? My camber is -.7 on each side, just want to see, even though most people are saying its fine. Also my toe in and out seems to be constantly getting messed up is there a reason for this? I have just taken it in for an alignment and they claimed they were having issues getting it to hold but that they got it now. I looked at the front end 2 days later and it looks like the front left tire is pointing out ever so slightly? Lots of questions, but i don't know much about this stuff. I have the stock rubi tires but want to get 35s so i figure i should address all of this first.

Thanks for all the help in advance.

On the axle sleeves are those the plastic circles that go into the axel housing?

That plastic cap is just a dust cover to keep crap out of the axle tube . A axle sleeve is a tube that is placed inside the axle tube to give it more strength. Search evo sleeve or nitro sleeve and you will see what I'm talking about.
