Default Rock Krawler 2.5" lift install

Hey all. Starting my RK 2.5" install Friday afternoon.

What I'm looking for here are tips and tricks to help the job go as smoothly as possible. Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Get a good floor jack and some good jack stands. Pre soak all the fasteners with some WD or PB blaster.

The RK instructions are pretty good.

Invite a friend to help install the front springs if its a driveway job.

I did one corner at a time. It took about 3 1/2 hours for the 2.5 max flex. Tighten jam nuts before you put the arms on the front axle. Fairly easy lift to install.

Thanks guys. I've all my equipment here and ready to go. Will be hitting everything with Liquid Wrench tomorrow and Thursday just to make sure it has penetration time. I can't wait to get going on this.

Take before and after pictures. I will be looking into a 2.5 lift soon.

My drill didn't fit between the rear track bar bracket and the diff cover(required 1/2" hole to drill) so I had to drill it at a super slight angle. Works but if you have access to a 90° angle drill or a shorter body one then it can help.

I just used the long bolt and then welded the bracket on, 3 bolts and then welding seems redundant. The strength is in the weld holding the new bracket to the axle.

Good to know . I've got a welder so I'm good to go either way.

Make sure your jackstands are long enough. I have the aluminum ones from harbor freight and I had the axle on the ground and still had a hard time getting the driver spring in.
