Default How should I store my soft top windows

I tried searching for ideas on this. Can someone point me in the right direction if there is already a good thread. If there is not let me know your thoughts.

I am looking for in vehicle ideas when the top is down, and for winter storage when the hard top is on.

I've only had soft tops, so not sure about the winter. But I've always thrown them on the roof, behind the center beam, and folded them in with the top. Worked well on the TJ, works well on the JK.

For the windows I use a window roll. I Only use a soft top no winter storage for me.

I put my soft top on my hardtop cart that I built. Works well for both. Search "DIY hardtop cart" if you don't know what I'm talking about.

I use 3 pieces of Muslin (from a fabric store) slightly oversized compared to the size of the windows and all 3 are sewn together on one edge. Each window goes between two sheets separate from each other. I also have one of the Outdoor leaf rolls for holding garbage bags open when raking leaves. I put the windows in the fabric, the fabric in the plastic and roll it all up. THe memory in the plastic keeps it nicely rolled but do also use a strap to hold it tight.

No pics at the moment if you are really interested I can put some up. PM me.

I used to be really careful with my windows, but they've started to just get a little beat up from age and use.

I have a two door, so your mileage may vary..

- For the rear window, I just unzip it (leaving the bar in place) and let it flop down between the factory sub and rear seat.

- For the side windows, I roll them up together and tuck them in the newly formed 'trunk' space. I used to use felt between them, but it was too much hassle after a while.

In the off season I lay all of the windows flat somewhere in the basement.
