aftermarket parts and rust
I know it depends on where you live/salt etc. But just wondering if there are any aftermarket companies that are better than others when it comes to this? - for lifts (springs, shocks, etc and bumpers)
I am in Indianapolis this week and there was a nice lifted black JKU rubi. black wheels, maxxis bighorns' (35") - dont know what kind of bumpers but when I went for a closer look, parts of the bumper were rusty and bits of the suspension also. He had Indiana tags so im sure salt on the roads helped accelerate that.
It just seems stock bits hold up better to rust?

Liquid paint will work better for you. Sharp corners are very hard to seal with powdercoat, plus, once you chip powdercoat, it will continue to peel. Get liquid underbody paint in a spray can and sand/wire brush, clean, and touch up areas as needed. Paint WILL fail. Even bedliner stuff will fail. So the only way to prevent rusting is to really stay on top of it. Or move to Phoenix... Haha.
