Default Please help me

Just picked up my first Wrangler, 08 X. I've been researching since Saturday and I'm curious if you guys think I'm in the right direction. This is my DD and I don't plan on doing any serious trail riding, at least not in the immediate future. Just taking it on the beach and light trails. I don't want to alter the suspension and I'd like to stay within the law of New Jersey as much as possible.

I've had my eyes on the Rugged Ridge satin black wheels. I'm curious if anyone has had any negative experiences with them, especially with rusting. They're 17x9 and from what I've found the largest tire I can go with is 285 70r17 and for my usage the Goodyear DuraTrac.

The wheels I can find in the 175 range and tirerack has the GYs for 257.

Thanks for any help and nice to meet all of you.

I have a neighbor that has had these wheels for almost 2 year with summer and winter running up here in quebec and he has no sign of rust on his wheels. And you will be fine with the 285, i ran them on stock suspension for a while with little to no rubbing at all. It might look a little goofy tho. You could also buy a teraflex leveling kit for like 130$. Thats what i have and there is no difference in driveability from the stock setup and give you a nice stance. The first pic is 285/70/17 on 17x9 wheels without lift and the last one is still 285/70/17 but that time on 17x8.5 wheels and teraflex leveling kit and the second one was before installing the leveling kit.. P.S: you should of posted this in modified jk tech.

Thank you very much. From what I understand in New Jersey the tread can't exceed the fender but with this set up I'll be about an inch over which I'm okay with.

I'll create a post in the correct area, have a good one.

Jersey, where your tires can't go past the fender but Snooki's hair can touch the clouds
