Default Problems with lift and computer

Hey guys just had my new 4.5" AEV lift today as I am driving home I had my stability control system go off several times limiting my power! I also had what felt like my ABS breaks activate several times as well on the drive home. I know that for whatever reason the shop disconnected my battery while the were installing my lift. Is this something that can happen with an install? I have not even installed my new wheels and tires that is tomorrow at the tire shop. Can anyone give me a helpful hint as to what this is and why it is doing it? Thanks in advance any help is appreciated.

A lift will "un-center" the steering wheel for a couple of reasons.
Did the shop re-center the steering wheel? And, if they did, it has to be pretty close to exact, as detected by the sensor, not just eyeballed.

x2, your kit should have come with a Procal, that should help with re-centering your steering wheel. That or the shop may have damaged the ABS wire during the install ???

You can use the procal or just manually do it. A socket (15mm I think), loosen two nuts, turn one way or the other until it's centered and you're done. Helps if you have someone in the driver's seat. Shouldn't take more than 5 minutes.

So is this because it is triggering the steering center mode? So are you saying to loosen the two bolts on the new steering rod and then just straighten the wheel? Thanks much

Not sure if this was to me or not. If your wheels are straight and your steering wheel is offset to one side or the other. You need to center you steering wheel. This happens when you install a lift or sometimes when you are wheeling. I had to do it on the side of the freeway while driving back from Moab this year after driving several hours with no problem.

Here is the write up from WOL. Steps 1-3.
