Default Help diognosing noise...

Recently I have notice this weird noise coming from the front of my jeep. It sounds like its from the brakes. When I come to a slow rolling stop there is no noise. However if I use the brakes to stop I feel/hear a small clicking noise. It's seems to have gotten slightly worse recently. At first I thought it was just the drivers side but now I think it's occassionaly the passenger as well.
What are symptoms of ball joints going? Or are my brakes just due. It's an 08 lifted 4 inches. Thanks for the help.

try jacking the front end up and grabbing the top and bottom of your wheel and rocking it back and forth, if you have a lot of play (it should move, but barely) then its in your bearing/hub assembly or one or both of your ball joints, just look from behind and you will be able to tell where. Also take a look at your brake hardware and make sure everything is tight and nothing rattled loose or theres nothing caught up in there. Also grab the caliper and try to jerk it around to see if its moving. I would take a look at the bushings in your front end to just for peace of mind.

Raise the front tire, put a 5' snip under the tire the plunge the tire upward. Hold your hand on the knuckle and feel for movement. Works for unit bearings also. A clicking noise can be a brake shoe rocking. Good luck with it.

That just showed up as a pic for me.

It's doesnt seem to happen in reverse. And only when slowing down with the brakes. Im pretty sure it's brake related, fingers crossed its not something major. I have 40kms on the factory pads.

Wow. Did you get it figured out, or are you still tying to find what's causing that?

I'm pretty sure that's not what mine is. Yours sounded quite a bit louder and consistent. Mine is at random intervals. Almost sounds like a torque wrench when the brakes are applied softly. Thanks for the video again.
