Default JK 2 Door Trektop NX Install

I picked a nice hot day, over 80 to do the install. Talk about a pain in the a$$! My hands are raw and hurting! I've got a pic of the install complete, and a pic of the sunrider folded back. I couldn't find a picture of a 2 door with the sunrider flipped back, so here's one for anyone interested. Getting the top on is a pain, but I really do think it makes the JK look a little cooler. I can't wait for it to stretch out a little more so I can pull the windows out and go safari.

Yeah I have the first gen one. The freedom part rolls back instead of folding. The back window is a mofo.

I think I actually suffered the most on the sides of the quarter panel windows. They did not want to clip into the door surround. I had to leave them hanging out, then go back a few hours later and pop them in. Tight is an understatement!

Mines been on a few weeks. I've pulled all sides off and on and its still really tight. Kind of a pain zipping back up.

From all I have read, you're in for a pretty long wait if you're just ordering it now. Good luck! I ordered mine in January.. installed it on a 70 degree day in March.

Even with it being installed for a few months, mine is still a bitch to put back on. One thing I learned is to work around the rig, not one side and then the other. Clip one side into the surround, then zip that side to the window. Next zip the other side to the window and pull it around to the other door surround. Seems to be a bit easier.

Does it still pull away at the top of the door a bit doing it this way?

Doesn't seem to have any positive impact on the top of the surrounds.. sorry. But it does make it a little easier to get the zippers on the rear window started.

If you are getting the pull at the top of the surround, try getting everything zipped and closed with the rear bikini straps and the plastic tabs at the bottom of the sail panels as the last things you do. This will pull the top forward a bit and makes it easier to get everything tensioned correctly.
