Default Question on replacing rear driveshaft

I have the bolts removed from the front/rear and I got the DS removed on the t-case end, but can't seem to get the rear apart from the differential. Any tips?

I went to the auto parts store and picked a puller/extractor. Also there is a video on youtube look up stock to rock and it shows everything pretty straight forward. When I used the puller I also used a socket between the puller and the yoke to keep the point on the extractor from embedding into the bolt. Hope this helps.

Are u talking about separating the DS from the pinion flange or pulling the flange off the pinion shaft? If you're trying to separate the DS from the downgrading I just used a dead blow hammer and lightly tapped it striking from the rear towards the front and it popped out but be ready to catch it. To remove the pinion downgrading I bought a 3 arm gear puller at autozone and it took very little effort to get it off. The hard part was getting the pinion nut off. You'll prob need at least a 3/4" impact gun. And its cool you need 1 1/8" socket for the front, 1 1/4" socket for the t-case, and an 1 5/16" socket for the rear. I didn't learn about the rear size until I was under the jeep all ready to work and I didn't have that size. It took yet another trip to go get tools. I'd also recomend a 6 point socket vs the 12 point when using an impact. The 12 point tends to mess up the nut.

So thats the size of the rear drive shaft nut! I have pulled the rear drive shaft 2 times and still haven't guessed right on the socket size! Thanks for the info I'm going to pick that socket up and finish this project

I got it off shortly after my post. It wasn't budging by using the recommended hammer and dull punch through the two non-threaded holes, but luckily I was at our base's auto hobby shop, so I had access to an automatic hammer (not sure the technical term), that used an air compressor like a typical impact gun. It came off within about 10 seconds of using it going back and forth between holes.
