Like the title says... I'm curious what have you broken on your JK? What caused the damage and how did you fix it? Replace with a new part or did you use creativity to repair the problem MacGuyver style?

Maybe we can all learn a few new tricks!

Hey, thats some big money stuff! I was hoping read about people breaking a muffler bracket, maybe a reflector, sun visor or a latch on the glovebox. You know, cheap stuff.

I broke the air dam off a few times. I just zip tie it back on. It does help with hood flutter.

The screw studs that hold the doors on. I threw the nuts with the broken screw parts away. Now I just run without them.

I don't mind taking my Jeep offroad, but I'm not mechanically inclined so if I broke something major I'd be screwed! Plus, it gets expensive fast.

When y'all broke something, how did you fix it? Spare parts? Limp back?

what have i broken......hMMMM that is a long list...for a 9 month old Jeep.

**right axle shaft: $200, replaced with takeoffs craigslist
**clutch: $700, warranty covered it OEM Dealer part,
**steering gear box main shaft that holds the pitman arm: $300 craigslist
**clutch again, $500, replaced with a center force clutch kit
**clutch slavemaster: $200, warranty
**passenger seatbelt units front and rear: $700, warranty
**cracked engine block, warranty, who knows what that would have cost. the dealer thought i was leaking engine oil from the rear main seal and turned out to be a crack they say is a stress fracture maybe caused by the factory when the oil pan was being tightened.
