Default Smittybilt Universal Jerry Can Mount- Anyone Have One?

Smittybilt 2798 - Smittybilt Universal Jerry Can Mount - Quadratec

Does anyone have one? How does it mount up? Is it pretty secure?

Any insight is welcome.

it is a one size fits "most" holder. You are going to need to fabricate some sort of adapter bracket. There are (4) holes punched on the back of the holder that are not going to line up with anything.

Well that sucks! If I buy that I have to have a mount made for it. I have to have a mount made for my mount? I will just go to my friend you works at a steel shop and have him make me one.

I looked at them some time ago before I got my OR-FAB tire carrier. I wanted to mount it to my OEM spare tire carrier but talked myself out of it.

If you are talking about the I-rack, I have one. It works alright. I bought an extra jerry can mount so I can carry 2 cans. Then mounted my hi-lift horizontally below the cans. My only complaint is that the set screws that hold it on will not stay tight. Mine does not have straps holding the cans, it has a wing bolt that clamps the can in place. Holds it very tight with no rattles. Hope this helps.
