need info to install detroit lockers on rubicon??

Default need info to install detroit lockers on rubicon??

cant find much on this subject, its an 07 rubi dont drive it on the road ordered 5:38 gears from northridge i hace a pr rock 44 unlimited fr axle and want detroit lockers not arb. just like not having to hit any bottons, no lines to fail etc.. any help would be appreciated , having a shop do the work but i want to bring them all the rite parts and let them no anything they need to do besides maybe drill ring gear? but i only find info on sahara rear 44 and i no there alittle different, i have searched so if anyone one is running them in a rubi could u tell me what u had to do to get them to fit properly....thx

i guess this post wasnt wasnt worth answering! maybe i picked the wrong forum to ask questions bout things actually related to wheeling ur rig! maybe if ida asked which chrome mirrors look the best i woulda got 100 replies......

Dude, give it more than 22 hours for someone to respond. Being passive aggressive isn't cool.

You are asking a specific question about a mod that most probably haven't looked into.

As for your question, I have no idea. If it were about putting a Detriot locker or Eaton in a 12 bolt rearend or a 9", I could answer or help out.

I beleive that the shinnier the mirror the better... Less mud sticks to them.... Anyway i have no idea. Same as prob half the people here an plus the ones who do no prob arn't even online often

I would bet that Dave @ Northridge could give you the best info., give him a holler or maybe Dynatrac, they def. could get you where you need to go.

thx ill give that a try i ordered my gears and rcv's at northridge those guys seemed really cool! they take the time out to talk to ya to c what ya really need...

Rubi lockers are a different design than a Detroit (or ARB) and won't interchange. The bearing journals are different. Even if they fit, the differential center line is different. As an example (using fictional measurements), lets say a Rubi locker has 45" of axle shafts- 15" short, 30" long. Due to the different center line, a Detroit would still use 45" of shafts but 16" short and 29" long. Get it? This is true front and rear.
