Agreed to buy a slightly used 2012 Sport on the internet today. Hope I did not make a mistake because I want to put factory half-doors on it. Can anyone confirm that half doors will fit on a Sport that is currently equipped with power windows/locks? I notice that Jeep literature shows that half doors are an option on the Sport S but not the Sport and also the literature says “N/A with power windows/doors”… does that mean the halfs won’t fit if I have the power doors or it is just a sales gimmick for Jeep? My new Sport has power doors… just want to make sure I can put factory half doors on the vehicle.

 

They should just bolt up and the only electrical function to the half doors is to turn on the dome lights and probably door ajar. I don't know for sure though maybe someone who has half doors could chime in. The half doors will bolt up for sure though.

 

Door frames are the same size they should work fine only diff you might find would be the plugs controlling the windows and locks not working but theta really moot when it comes to the fact they are half doors

 

The mopar half doors fit all Wrangler models. The half doors come with no mirrors and no power locks. You will either have to splice and pin a harness to convert the two pin stock 1/2 door harness to the stock power window/ heated mirror car side harness or There is a rather expensive mopar adapter harness that is plug and play though. They are an expensive route to go when you get done purchasing the doors, interior trim, harness, have the lock keyed, and the doors painted even if you do the labor yourself. They are however far higher quality alternatives to the aftermarket shelled doors.

 

As stated above, they will fit. Just scour the site and local ads for a set of used doors to pick up. I sold a front pair of complete Mopar half doors for 150, and a rear pair of tube doors for 140. I sold them to separate buyers about 1 month apart. You can find those kinds of deals. I got both those sets for free so I passed the savings on to the lucky buyers. Both were full Mopar and came from my local dealer. They were demo take offs. Brand new. About 1 in 4 dealers got this stuff from Mopar, so many dealers may have them sitting around as they just changed over their floor vehicle! My dealer was in the process of throwing them away!!!! That's how I got them for free.

 

I wish I would have known where to get free half doors before I spent what I did. If you go to jeepsareus you can purchase the adapter or like I did add power locks to the half doors. I think the adapter is 80 for four doors. It was the best mod I have done.
