I have sadly out grown my jeep. With my growing family's needs I have got to get a truck.

The ol' girl is paid off, in great shape and almost ready to sell. My KM2's have gone off the
deep end. (52k) And the ride is horrible... So I am going to replace them with an A/T... drive it
for 2-6 months, and sell it.

I have two tires in mind...

The ever popular BFG AT(@315/70) or the Falken Rocky Mountain (@325/70). Both are
$260ish from Discount Tire.

My dilemma is that I have over 3" of lift and my 35" KM2's look pretty small now on stock Rubi rims,
and I am afraid the 315/70's will be smaller. Otherwise I'd go BFG without question.

The BFGs are very well known and wear like steel, might be a good selling point.

I curious why you don't just keep the jeep and buy a truck if it's payed off. I know it's not your question, sorry. It appears you like the jeep a lot.

And on the tires, if you do trade in don't go outrageous on the price. You will not recoup.

I'd love to keep it, but dont want a payment.
Gonna sell it and use CASH to buy a used truck = Still no payment.

Honestly, I would look at something like the Goodyear duratracs. I know if I was shopping for a new Jeep, and it had all terrains on it, the first thing on my mind would be replacing them. At least the duratracs look somewhat agressive

i think the bfg's will compliment your lift more. you want it to be as attractive as possible when selling it. if a buyer is shopping and sees your jeep and another one pretty similar, the tires may be his/her deciding factor.

Duratracs were my first thought, but man the prices on those jumped way up since thier introduction.
No doubt a great tire.

I am willing to spend a grand (for 4). If it drives smooth and straight I am positive I will get it back when I sell.
Just not sure about much more than that.

The KM2's are about 50%, still work great off road, and will be included in the sale.
I thought about buying wheels too, so the mud tires are "Bolt-on's" ... but I am not sure
if it would be worth it.
