Default Decals and whatnot...

Hello all. Just pulled the trigger on a 2012 White Sport S with a hard top. Unfortunately there were no gecko greens in my area with the options I wanted, and the dealer gave me a deal that I couldn't pass up. My question pertains to the Mountain edition Wrangler that wasn't sold here in the states.

Since I'm new to it all, can anyone tell me where I can get the matte black decals that were on the hood and the blacked-out grill? I liked the Mountain decals on the side of the hood as well since I think the little bit of orange will definitely stand out on the white. Was there anything else that these editions had (other than the interior as those things I won't really be able to change).

Any and all help and insight would be greatly appreciated. Anyone on here have a Mountain edition? The only ones I have seen were green.

Thanks!

Pull up the specs on google and it should tell you the difference. I believe they are Rubicons with special interior and decals.

There were plenty of mountain editions sold in the US. Don't know why you think there weren't.
If memory serves, they were available in 3 different colors too, not just green.
You can order the decals through a dealership or just look on eBay. The blacked out hood decal you could cut yourself for under $20 from a sheet of vinyl with adhesive backing.

I saw one of these at the dealer when I picked out my Rubicon. It was a neat arctic blue colour.

It was a Sport Model JK (3.21 Gears even) with the hood and fender decals (saskwatch footprint on the fender), badging and the mountain edition interior. The front seats had a special embroider and I think it had the Sahara/Rubicon vents. It also had painted black wheels and Rubicon BFG MT tires with a special tire cover for the rear.

Mountain Editions were regular Sports/X Wranglers with 17 inch Moabs and BFG MT as well as Rubicon shocks. They didn't have the 4-1 transfer case, E-discos or E-lockers.

You can get the hood decal online. They are easy enough to find. I'd skip the "mountain" decal. You can paint the grill in gunmetal or matte black yourself.

Interesting - everyone that I talked to (two dealers and a couple of my Jeep buddies) said the Mountain edition was only sold in Canada and overseas. My mistake, I guess.

Look at pixel decals, they have them in a bunch of different colors for $30, good quality got a few different things from them.

Default Hood decal

I just added the blackout decal to my 2012 JKU. Definitely like the look with this. I bought mine from Crawlorado and worked out fine at a good price.
