Installed AEM Brute Force CAI today
I installed my new AEM Brute Force cold air intake today, and am very pleased. Installation took maybe 45 minutes. The most difficult part was taking the temp sensor out of the old intake tube. What a pain in the butt!
After a quick drive around town, I'm happy to report NO WHISTLE, just a nice throaty growl.
As to performance, my seat-of-the-pants-ometer tells me that the AEM (along with the CoolTech MagnaFlow exhaust) gives a noticeable performance boost. Or maybe it's just that it sounds great. Or maybe it's that I'm just telling myself that to justify the expense. Or to justify the expense to my wife!
Too early to report on fuel mileage. Besides, my foot is on the floor most of time listening to it sing! I'm sure I've lost 2-3 mpg just because I'm a hooligan!
I like the looks. I like the sound. I like the performance. I'm a happy camper!
