Default Softening My Road Ride

Is there anything I can do to soften my on road experience in my jK after installing a Rough Country 3.5" lift? I love the lift but the ride is beating the crap out of me on the road. South East Michigan roads are HORRIBLE and I'm feeling every pot hole, road seam, and pavement crack all the way through my spine. Is it the springs that make the ride so rough or would a different shock make a difference? If its the shocks can anyone recommend a softer riding one? I don't really do much off road and I have 35" Nitto Trail Grapplers which I'm sure are contributing to the harshness of the ride.

How about a recommended PSI for the Trail Grapplers for on-road ride quality?

Check your PSI and bring them down to 28 or so. I brought my 37's from 33 to 28 and made a HUGE difference.

I'll check that first thing tomorrow, I have a feeling they are much higher. I did a lot of searching on shocks on the forum but forgot to search psi before I posted. 28 seems to be a popular psi for those tires, thanks.

Checked the tire pressure today, 47psi all around. Dropped it to 28 as suggested and I can definitely notice a difference, particularly in the noise level. I guess I have more rubber on the road now so more noise would be natural. I'll drive it like this for a while before I start changing shocks. My tire pressure monitors are not happy though but I think I can change this with my Flashpaq tuner.

I use Nitro in my SkyJacker 2.5 with no sway bar and 35psi and I can handle like a slot car at freeway speeds- BUT I REGRET NOT GOING WITH Hydros. GOnna go OME or Bilstien down the line, and dropping PSI was a HUGE diff.

Yeah, that's exactly how it feels, like the back tires are coming off the ground on small bumps. I hit some washboard stuff on a dirt road at about 25mph and I thought the jeep was going to depart the road. The lower pressure seems to have helped a little but I need to check it out on my drive to work which is laden with some of Michigan's finest road work.

Coil and shock combo have a lot to do with ride. Also tire pressure can do a lot. I run my 32s at 33psi
