Default Best 35" Tire/wheel combo

Ordering my Terraflex 2.5 coil lift tomorrow. Next month TIRES.

I have 17" sahara wheels now but I would like black wheels. So many choices but it looks like it may come down to Procomp wheels. 15 16 17?

What I am getting at is what 35" tire AT or MT with what wheel is the best bang for the buck? Combo of the two.

Most driving is on road around town and to the camp. Camp is 75 miles away. The camp raods and fire trails will be most of my off road use. AT would be best but if I can get a MT for a good price that wears ok, then so be it.

keep your stock wheels. get spacers. paint the wheels black. save your cash for a good set of tires. nitto trail grapplers or toyos.
the stock wheels are also pretty light so will save weight vs. pro comp steelies

I been working on my set-up for 35in Tires for about 3 months now:
Trimmed stock Fenders
Quick disconects for the Trails
Stubby Front bumper
EVO rear Shackles NO Rear Bumper mod
Steer Stop Adjustment to run 11.8in~12.5in wide tires without wheel spacers
Project-JK.com - Jeep JK Wrangler Resource» Jeep JK Wrangler Steer Stop Adjustment

Stock suspension and 35in tires comming soon. I will run it with these amazing tires and best bang for the buck:

A ton of reviews online and on youtube. They all say these tires are awesome

Sometimes less is more

15in MB72s with MTR kevlars!!! FTW! Plus the advantages are great with 15s:

Cheaper tires

Smoother ride

Less rash from rocks and what not

Weight...this setup weighs 87lbs per wheel/tire.

More sidewall. And they don't rub at all on JKs....oh and did I mention PRICE??? Way less than 16 or 17s

I had 35's with 15" rims on my old chevy truck and keeping them balanced was PIA. Seemed like I had to rebalance every other month or so. I think I'd go with 17" for 35's, lots of tire choices in that range also. I went with 16" for the 33's I'm running now.

I did flat black procomp 17" steelies with maxxis bighorns they were the cheapest 35's i could find that werent told junk . I have had them offroad once on minor rocks without airing down and they did very well on the road they do good also they r a little noisey but not bad at all for a mt even wit the top off . The only time i really hear them is when im runnin wit no doors.
