Default 1 -1/4 body lift....pops and other noises

Need some help guys!!!! I recently added a 1 and 1/4 body lift and am having a PITA time of getting it to ride quiet. I have read a few forum threads on this but have not found a true answer. After the initial install there were pops and creaks and what not, directly associated with the body lift. A few of the sounds went away after a few days of driving and verifying the primary bolts were at 80 lbs/ft of torque and the two smaller were torqued down to 40lbs/ft...but still had a good amount of the pops and creaks...primarily when pulling out from a dead stop in first gear (6 speed manual). Since this is a 2 month old Jeep the noise was getting to be too much so I started researching on the forum and did the following in an attempt to quiet things down. (Side note....I’ve been running a 3.5 in suspension lift for the first 2 months with no (zero) of these noises I am looking to silence in this post).

-Pulled the Jeep in the garage and loosened all the center bolts to where there we loose....but not completely out. Loosened the smaller bolt to 20lbs/ft torque
-Then took it around the block....some acceleration and, not hard, but decent breaking to set the jeep as one post stated
-Pulled the Jeep back in the garage and tightened everything back down to their proper specs...80 on the centers and 40 on the outer bolts.

Perfection!!!!! Completely silent!!!! All the noises were gone...could pull out from a stop and nothing....roll into the driveway and nothing.....speed bumps....nothing.

2 days later now.....................and they are back!!!!! WTH?!?!?! I will say they are not as bad as at first...but still very annoying. I verified everything was torqued to spec and now I am at wits end on what else I can do to resolve this issue.

Anyone here have any ideas on a step I may have missed or hopefully had the same problem and has a solution for me would be great!!!!

Thanks-Mike

Did you install the lift or a shop? Noises I got later where due to not loosening the UCA& LCA during lift install. If you didn't do that or don't know if the shop did, loosen those bolts go up and down your driveway curb few times then re tighten.

If you didn't loosen those bolts it can bind the bushing and create that noise. Mine only did it over bumps.

Awesome. I'll give that a shot after work today and let you know. I was extremely happy that it all Went away for a couple days after loosening and retorquing...so def part of the body lift. Should grease or lubricant be used on/around body mounts...thinking Not.

I don't think it's your body lift. There's nothing to rub to make those sounds. When torquing the control arms look up the ft lbs I forget.

Ok....loosened up the LCM and UCM and no luck Def the body mounts. I loosened all the body mounts...again...drove it around the neighborhood...retightened them all to spec and all the noises were gone. Just drove to a clients about 75 miles away and upon pulling out to head back to Houston...I'm hearing them again. Any other thoughts on a solution to this?

Thanks ahead of time for any help here.

Thanks-Mike
