Default diff fluids

how often do you have to change the front and rear diff fluids i have a 2010 unlimited with 16500 on it.

Think it's right around 15K. I did mine at 8K just cause I wheel it pretty hard.

I just changed mine @ 34000 miles. The oil from the front diff looked like new oil, could see thru it. The oil from the back diff was black, looked like used motor oil. Both drain plugs had about the same amount of magnetic sludge on them.

Maintence schedule suggests changing at 36K if used for offroad towing or taxi/fleet/police.
Then every 20k after that.

If you do a lot of water crossings you might want to do it a little more often.

once a year regardless of mileage. Its easy and cheap to do.
