Default Whats your mileage with 33"s and 4.10s

Searched for this but didn't find it so sorry if I missed it. I've been looking for a set of 4.10s to swap out my 3.73s since I'm running 33" tires, and was wondering what the 07 unlimiteds with this setup was seeing on gas mileage? Also how is the power? I'd like to be able to run 70 on interstate without the overdrive kicking off. Thanks in advance.

I have the setup but am running a 6-speed..... and steel rock crawlin rims ( heavier )

I find the power is fine... I take off in second most of time.... and have no problem running 70+ on interstate..... although rpms get up there !!

I do a 50/50 mix on a daily basis and am getting a respecable 15 to 15.5

On a weekly trip ( the computer reads ) 17.5 at 55mph but do not go above 59 mph or the reading drops ......... and when I fill up the comp reads 16 to 16.7 which is 1 mpg off of hand calculations roughly..

I have 8000 miles on the clock and I bought it 6 months and 5 days ago today at 4pm ( BTW.... No !!! I am not keeping track.... at all !! )

I have an 08 Rubicon with nearly the same setup, and my mileage seems to be right there with yours.
My wheels are different, but they're 18's, so that probably makes it similar.

I would not go through the effort of swapping in 4.10's for 3.73's. Even if they were free. You will not notice that much difference. I had 4.10's on my old YJ for a while and Wife's TJ had 3.73's, at the time. Both with 33 inch tires. Real hard to tell any difference. It would be much different if you were going from 3.21's to 4.10's.
I'm saving for 4.88's or 5.13's. Leaning toward 4.88's as I will have 33's and may not go larger. I'll buy the 33's first, (stockers are 32's). I will run with my stock 3.73's until I can spring for gears and lockers.

I appreciate everyones replies. Mine just feels like I've gotta stay on the gas to keep it at 70 and the overdrive constantly kicks off. If I just turn the overdrive off, it has more power but then the rpms are sky high of course and it drinks gas at 70.

I wonder what the new 4.56s are gonna do on the highway?

You'll want 4.88s or 5.13s if you ever go larger.

My XJ with 33s and 4.56s is perfect, but its a rocket compared to a 4-door JK stock vs stock.
