Default Can my dealer fix my Jeep's computer?

I have a 2008 Jeep JKU Base X model It came with the 16in rims and the small baby street tires (If i had to guess how big they were id say 28-29in?) my question is I've bought 33in tires since then and have realized my speedometer is off. Can the dealer recalibrate my computer or would I have to buy a super chip? Also something that bothers me now is my reduced hp can a recalibration fix that or again is super chips my way to go. Im guessing it has a tow package because It came with a factory tow hitch (I bought used) so my guess is it has towing gears. Any information will be helpful thanks!

Also you can go to mopar and get a build sheet for your VIN. That will tell you what is was built with...everything off the line. It can't tell you if the previous owner regeared, but doubtful just going to 33's. The AEV Procal will recalculate your transmission shift points for the new tire size and it will FEEL like you got the power back that, technically, you never lost.

Definitely in favor of the pro cal. I've heard the dealer can reprogram up to 32"'s ( largest stock tire ). They might say they can't do 33"'s and not bother to program for 32"'s. good luck if you go that route.

Dealer has a specific list of tire sizes they can reprogram with. I dumped nearly 90 bucks at the stealership for them to come "close" it was still off like 12-15% at the speedo. Go for an after market computer module that you can program a specific tire to...
