Default After market power door locks and windows in a 12 JKU

Anyone know anything about installing power door locks and windows after market in a 12 JKU? I know there are posts for older JK's , but I'm looking for a 12 specifically. I purchased my Jeep about 3 weeks ago with manual options, after the dealer had told me installing the power package was easy to do, and he had a local shop that could do it. I dropped the Jeep off yesterday, and got a call this am saying they had abandoned the project, for various reasons. The actuators would not work properly, the window switches did not fit correctly, and in general the guy told me they ran into issue after issue. He said he had installed the package in older JK's, but this was his first 12 and he just gave up.

So now I have my dream Jeep, minus the power package that I really wanted. Realistically, I would have held out for a 13 if I had of known the package couldn't be added. Anyone had this package installed successfully?? Again, I'm looking specific to a 2012, or for any advice from someone who is good with this type of thing. I don't have the know how, or at least not the guts, to attempt it myself...

Thanks.

I would keep it basic if it was just for me, but having young kids, the power windows and doors are well worth the increased risk of repair down the road to me. When you're carry a kid and all theirs and yours gear, pushing a button to unlock beats the hell outta trying to do it manually.

Man, that sucks. I feel for you. I love my power locks. I haven't heard if anyone yet doing a 2012 Power Lock install.

Good luck. I would suggest searching several forums and calling multiple places and asking if they've done a 2012 swap.

Me 3. If I had known the tailgate did not lock when it's closed like the trunk of a car. I hate having to use the key to lock it. There are a few shops that say they can add the power locks but so far the bad reviews I have read about the cheap parts and all the problems guys are having with them has stopped me from doing it.
There has got to be a way.

the power locks would be pretty easy swapping out the manual locks with the power ones.. but you would still need a alarm or something to trigger them... the power windows on the other hand could be alittle tricky..

I spoke to another dealer back home about this, and he told me they have a shop they use that does these installs, and have done them on a couple of 2012's. I'm headed home from vacation next week, so I'll stop in and see what the deal is and let you guys know.

I need to figure out, if this can in fact be done, what exactly the external components look like. I really like the look and style of the new JK's interior, I don't want to mess it up with some nasty set of switches or something after the fact... we'll see.

I can tell you now there are no switches anywhere, you will use the key fob to lock and unlock the doors. I need to know what kind or company makes good locks. Not the cheap one that quit after 2 months or so. See if you can get a brand name.

Yeah, the fob for the locks is fine, I mean for the windows...
