Default are there fake parts?

Are there fake AEV and Mopar bumpers? I heard that some people here here in korea imported bumpers from e-bay.And they said some of those bumpers became fake. I just want to know if there were fake JK parts in U.S. Thanks.

There are "knock offs". I know there's a Chinese snorkel, almost the same exact as AEV's snorkel.

Everyone that I've seen running it loves it. Never heard of one failing. It's $145-$175 vs $300 for AEV's snorkel.

They even tell you to use AEV's instructions. It's a shifty business practice, but not everyone can afford the name brand stuff.

The Problem is that ,here in Korea, the Importer didn't even know those were fake when they imported them.

With bumpers, there is some knock offs on ebay that are the "same" as Smittybilt's.

From what I have seen personally, they are good quality. Just have to replace the hardware on them with better hardware, and sometimes rattle can bed line it yourself.

Not to be bitchy! Why drive a jeep and not put "made in America" products on it. I just don't get it. Ok if money is the issue, as I totally understand that, do something to save up like recycle cans or yard sale some junk. You will have those American made parts in no time. Just saying'!!!!

I agree, but that brings up a question I have on the AEV wheels - where are they made?

The "jury" is still out with me on the Rubicon wheels that are coming on my '13 I just ordered. And I think I may replace them with the AEV's.

AEV wheels are made in China....as are most every alloy wheel on the market!
