Cool Old Man Emu v/s Full Traction Lift

Anybody got any strong feelings on the new OME lift v/s the Full Traction. I am beating my brains in trying to pick the right lift, but I can't find that much info on what the OME kit even includes? Anybody out there running it yet or heard any positives/negatives? Or even a nudge in the right direction for some more info?? Thanks in advance.

I just ordered the OME lift, so I don't have it on yet, but I know there are a bunch of people that are very happy with both.

I went OME because I only offroad maybe 10% of the time. The difference in cost vs. the amount of hardware you get is the real differentiator. OME gives you the lift and flex, but does not give you the control arms or trackbars to recenter and adjust caster. FT gives you everything. At 3" of lift, I have not found the axles to be pushed off center that much (maybe 1/4 - 1/2"), and the caster is not that big of a problem. If I was a real offroad junkie, I would have probably gone FT, as beefing up the control arms and getting everything centered properly would better allow the Jeep to stand up to real abuse. For mostly onroad, the OME will do just fine.

And to answer your question, the OME kit comes with springs, shocks, and small spacers (about 3/8") for the front if you need to level it out. The only thing I added to the OME was brake line extension brackets for the rear, as those lines get pretty tight when flexing.

Hope that helps.

Yeah I added some homemade brake line extensions on the rear for my OME kit too. Loving my OME lift. Got mine from Northridge 4X4.

Thanks for the quick feedback, I checked out your guys setups and they look great. Paul, that black on black setup is absolutely killer.......almost making me regret the silver (except on all the days I don't have to wash it). Do you guys know if 35's fit without rubbing the stock bumpers? And what about the panhard rod ome offers? Worth the effort?

Nice setup, no rubbing with 35 x 12.5s?
