I've just purchased a 2012 JK Unlimited Sport S with an Auto for my wife! I want to put a mild lift and a little more aggressive wheel and tire package. We'll probably do mild trail driving, nothing extreme. Any suggestions would be great!

For something mild I would look at a teraflex budget boost and some 35's. If your rig sees mostly street I would say BFG all terrains from my experience. That's my 2 cents

For mild trail riding, I'd throw on a set of Rubicon takeoffs and call it done..no need for a lift unless you're just going for a look.

Terflex leveling kit to get rid of the ugly factory nose down look and then throw some 33s on there. I would say nitto trail grappler, since it's an awesome tire all around and good looking. If you will hardly be we wheeling, look in to an A/T like bfg or falken.

I like this idea.

The first set of tires I bought for my JK was a set of Sahara take offs. I think they are around 33" tall. They look much better than the stock tire but won't kill your gas mileage as bad as a set of 35s if you do not regear. You can usually find them cheap on the internet. I think I got my set for $800. All 5 wheels and tires that had 500 miles on them.

The only thing about these are wheels is that they are 18" rims and tire replacement will be a little bit more expensive down the road. Not to much though. JMO

agree..... get some take offs and save money for more complete system later on - the stock jeep is very capable off-road. It will also give you the time to really learn your jeep and what you want out of it so you don't waste $$$ doing upgrades that don't suit your driving/off-road style.
If this is your 1st jeep the last thing you want to deal with is low cost mods that end up costing you more if you are not happy with them...

The Tera leveling will probably make you and your wife happy. Here is mine with 33s and the Tera flex leveling kit. Note that you can still drive quickly.

I do not advocate speeding or wreckless driving.

Hmmm. Sport S. Don't know if you have 16" steelies or 17" Moabs. For mild trails you can run what you got no matter what it is. But let's face it. You got a Jeep so you got the bug. If you got the steelies go with 33s (285/75/16) alloys (285/70/17) in any quality tire. BFG a/t's. GY Duratracs. Etc, etc. I have Treadwright Wardens and love them. You don't really need a lift but that Teraflex leveling kit looks nice. Considering it myself. Go do what you want to do with what you have and progress as needs/money/wants warrants. Enjoy. Welcome to the club.Oh yeah you know, Jeep stands for Just Empty Every Pocket. Have fun!
