4.10s or 3.73?

Auto or manual?

Do YOU think it needs a regear? I think my '08 with 35s is fine in stock gearing.

I have a 2012 with 35s and 3.73 gear I would highly recommend a tuner to calibrate your jeep to new tire size I have no problems with my rubicon at all!

Does your Rubi have the 4.10 or 3.73 gearing? If you have 4.10s then the 35s will be acceptable. If you have the 3.73s then it may be bearable. These '12s JKs with the new 5 speed auto trans is a huge improvement compared to the previous 4speed trans from the 3.8 engines. Below is a gearing chart for your reference. I say drive your jeep with the 35s first and decide from there if you need to regear. If you do then 4.56 gearing would be a good choice...

I run 3.73 and I don't feel the need to regear. Since all rubi's are at least 3.73 I would say any 2012 rubicon can run 35's fine without regearing.

edit: I think that table goes a little overboard... according to it 3.21's are in the yellow for the stock sport tires.... but if you consider that table gospel then 35's w/ 3.73 is still better than 32 w/3.21

Aren't all (2012 at least) Rubicons running 4.10 gearing? I thought that was one of the features of the Rubi package?

Some came with 3.73 in 2012.. I'm guessing for better mileage with the new engine.

Only the 2012's with the tow package come with 4.1. I run my 2012 JKUR with 35's and 4.1 gearing and love it. 35" tires do put a strain but you only notice it on the highway.
