Default Goodyear MTR With Kevlar or Cooper STT which chould I get

I have narrowed my tire choice to either the Goodyear MTR with Kevlar or Cooper STT.

With the goodyear rebate the price is almost the same.

I will be getting 285-70-R17 size.

So pluss or minus on your experience on the tires, I want to get them ordered this weekend.

I just cant decide so I need some advice one way or another.

Thanks

Cooper just and all around great tire on and Offroad. Deepest tread and great wear. I'd definitely buy them again.

I ran the old style discoverer STTs on my ranger had no issues with them, just seemed to wear quick. Also have ran the old MTRs on my '04 Wrangler then on my '98 Cummins on our trip from AK to FL and had no issues with either set. Lastly i have ran the new style MTRs on my XJ and so far I can't complain about them.

If i had to choose i'd go with the MTRs.

I'm looking at the Cooper Discoverer STT and am curious about how good of a tire it is.

I have had both of them, but I got a bad set of MTRs so I just went with another tire. I loved the STTs, ran well on the street and did good on the trail. They have a similar tread to toyos MTs. When I sold them, they were 50% with 25k on a 5 tire rotation. I would do the STTs again for sure, not so much the MTRs.

A bunch of guys I wheel with hate their MTR/Ks. Say they dont pull as good as theyre last sets of tires. As for STTs they are pretty sick.

They both are good, have run them both. Have Coopers on my JKU now, have heard bad things about MTR's though.

Been running the coopers for awhile now and have been extremely impressed. They are relatively quiet on pavement. Got a chance to test them out in the snow last night as well and they worked really really well.

I've got cooper stt about 10000 on the so far a little wear probably at 70% still go great in snow and mud. Driving in the rain I feel like I slip around a little. Nice tire I like mine.
