Question First Mod--New Tires...but which ones?

Good day all! I recently purchased a 2008 X and the first things to go are the current tires. I am looking for inexpensive but decent tires. I want Mickey Thompsons, but just can't get them at this time. So, I am looking at Falken Rocky Mountain ATs, Gerneral Grabber ATs and the traditional BF Goodrich AT KO. My husband has had the BFs before ao I know what those are like, but what do people think about the Falkens or the Generals? Are there any others I should consider? I live in Ohio so I deal with ice and snow on occasion as well as rain. Any input would be appreciated.

Look into Goodyear Duratracs. That was the choice I made to when I was shopping around. They look awesome, reasonably priced, quiet, great on and offroad. Good Luck!

My first tire upgrade was to the Falken Rocky Mountain ATS, very reasonably priced and they look good for whatever you want, big for off-roading or looks, or stock tire size for fuel economy and road performance.

The first two pics are of my Falkens, the last is my current Nitto Trail Grapplers, I added it cuz if you're like me or any other Jeeper, you're always going to want bigger tires eventually. (Upgraded mine after only 1,500mi on the Falkens)...

They are great tires. I will be going to bigger more aggressive tires in the future, but for an all terrain tire, the Terra's are awesome. The third pic here shows how versatile these tires can be! 295-70-17

Check out Dunlop Fierce Attitudes. Great price and great tire! Have them on my Jeep and they tide great, even on the highway. Bought a set of 4 tires, mounted, balanced and installed for under $975.

The duratracs are my vote as well!! Just got a set and they seem really good. They clear out well and not noisy at all on the road!
