Default 35x12.5x17 Dunlop Fierce Attitude vs. Mickey Thompson Baja MTZ which to pick??

So,
I'm new to the whole Jeep thing and I'm ready to pull the trigger on some wheels and tires.. I've been doing a lot of research and looking at between these two tires. Can you guys post some first hand info regarding either of these brands in 35x12.5x17 . I would like to know road noise quality, handling wise (Street/hwy, offroad), Rain. How many miles should I expect to get out of them?? I will be doing mostly street/hwy driving with the occasional trail. I can save roughly $500 by getting the Fierce VS the Mickey Thompson. Just not sure I'd spend the extra $500 for Mickey's when I can spend it on other mods. Any info would be great.. Thanks for all your help guys!!

I'm running 35 12.5 17 fierce attitudes and have over 15000 miles on them and they are doing very well. The only noise That I really notice is at 5mph or less they seem loud, but once you get rolling I think they are very quiet

I can only offer advice on the MTZs - a superb all-round tire and outperformed my expectations for an 'aggresive mud tire'. I don't drive slow and they've proved great in rain, snow and slush, and no issues on highway or handling. They're noisy but not bad IMO. Only now after 32,000 miles are they showing some wear, I expect to get over 40k out of them.

I havn't read any reviews on the Fierce tires, but the Mickey Thompson MTZ's get great reviews. I'd say they are about average in regards to noise (by mud tire standards).

Thanks guys for all your info and comments.. I just realized that the price difference is going to be $200 so not sure if that would make it easier to decide between the 2 ?? Do the MTZ's have a better load rating? Sidewall ?? Just dont wanna make a big $$ mistake on tires. Any one else with Mickey's wanna chime in and give your $.02. Also, how do the Fierce handle in the rain?? I live in Florida and from one second to the other there is a downpour. Just a question regarding hydroplaning? Thanks again guys for your help.

So far I love MTZ 5000 on them and I dont think the road noise is that bad.

I drove 70mph for 50 miles in a bad rain storm few days back and only slipped a few times...

They have been great offroad and on!!
