Default Proper location of Stabilizer tie rod clamp.

I installed a steering stabilizer flip kit on my JK yesterday and also installed an new tie rod clamp. However I couldn't find in the instructions how far I should mount the tie rod clamp. Do I just mount it pretty close to where the OEM clamp was and call it a day or is there a better procedure. Thanks.

Depending on what products you used it may take a little finesse. Put the front end on stands, turn to full lock right (stabilizer compressed), and adjust the clamp about ˝" to 1” out. Rotate by hand to full lock left, pay attention to where the clamp ends up in relation to your diff cover. Hopefully it does not interfere and you’re good to go, if it does this is where trial and error may come in to play.

Thanks... right now I have it just flipped it up but in the process it moved around a little so I wasn't sure if it was okay or if it needed to be calibrated. It drives fine but I have read project-jk's article saying stabilizers aren't that important so if it was wrong I doubt I would really know.

I'll try the method mentioned above this weekend.

Yeah, just make sure it's not bottoming (or topping) out and keeping your steering from going full lock.
